LDA Annual Budget 2020 (Approved)
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) approved the annual budget for the year 2020 worth Rs.58.61 billion Pakistani rupees. In this LDA annual budget sum of Rs. 32 billion was allocated for development projects in Lahore. Not only LDA its subsidiaries Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) are also part of this annual budget 2020.
This budget was announced in governing meeting under the supervision of LDA chairman SM Imran. In this fiscal year, 2020-2021 LDA’s Urban development resources were estimated at 39.5 billion. In this LDA annual budget, the amount of Rs.17.5 billion will be covered through LDA’s resources and the remaining amount of Rs.8.3 billion will be granted by the Punjab government.
An amount of Rs. 90 million will be used in the development of different housing schemes. For the construction of different buildings, the government has granted a sum of Rs 3.4 billion. This budget includes Rs. 2 billion for construction of apartments on Lahore for government employees. Rs. 100 million is granted for the construction of official residences for LDA employees.
